General Operative / Cleaner

Are you a reliable, hardworking person looking for a temporary opportunity in Lisburn?

We’re currently recruiting for a General Operative / Cleaner to join a busy manufacturing environment for an initial period of approximately 6 months, with the potential for the role to continue for longer depending on business requirements.

This is a practical role suited to someone who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves, keep things organised and support the wider team.

🚀 What will you be doing?

You’ll play an important role in helping to keep the manufacturing environment clean, safe and running efficiently.

Your duties will include:

• General cleaning and housekeeping across the manufacturing and workshop areas.

• Keeping work areas clean, tidy and organised.

• Removing waste and ensuring materials are disposed of correctly.

• Assisting with general operational duties as required.

• Moving materials and equipment when required.

• Supporting production and other members of the team.

• Helping maintain a safe working environment.

• Following health & safety procedures at all times.

• Carrying out other reasonable duties to support the operation.

This is a varied, hands-on position where you’ll be expected to get stuck in and help wherever needed.

👷 What are we looking for?

Previous manufacturing experience isn’t essential. We’re more interested in finding someone who has the right attitude and work ethic.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Reliable and punctual.

• Hardworking and willing to get stuck in.

• Practical and comfortable carrying out physical tasks.

• Able to follow instructions and work safely.

• Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.

• Organised and takes pride in keeping their working environment clean.

• Flexible and willing to assist with different tasks.

🚜 Got a forklift licence?

A valid forklift licence would be a definite advantage for this position.

However, if you don’t currently hold a licence, that’s not necessarily a problem – you must simply be willing to undertake forklift training where required.

⏰ Working Hours

Monday-Thursday: 8:00am-5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am-1:00pm

Duration: Approximately 6 months, with potential for longer depending on business requirements.
