Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 per annum, depending on experience

We’re recruiting for a Quality Laboratory Assistant to join a busy manufacturing site in Baglan. This is a hands-on opportunity where you’ll play an important role in ensuring products meet the required quality standards, while gaining valuable experience within a professional manufacturing environment.

What will you be doing?

Your role will be varied, combining practical laboratory work with data recording and quality administration.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Collecting product samples from different areas of the site
• Carrying out routine mechanical testing on finished products
• Conducting quality checks on raw materials and finished products in line with established procedures
• Accurately recording and maintaining quality test results and documentation
• Monitoring and maintaining laboratory testing and measuring equipment
• Analysing competitor products in accordance with defined procedures
• Supporting the Quality team with audits and wider quality activities
• Providing support to the Quality Manager/Line Manager as required
• Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health, safety and quality procedures
• Contributing to a positive safety culture across the site

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, detail-focused and motivated to deliver accurate work.

Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience in a quality, laboratory or manufacturing environment
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work
• Good administrative and organisational skills
• The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• Good IT and data-recording skills
• The confidence to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team
• A positive attitude towards health, safety and quality
