JDR Recruitment is recruiting two Finance Systems Accountants to support The Executive Office during the implementation of its new Oracle-based Integr8 finance system.
This is an excellent opportunity for finance professionals looking to combine operational accounting with finance systems, data analysis and major system implementation experience.
The successful candidates will provide additional capacity across Finance Systems, Financial Accounting and Budgeting teams while existing subject matter experts support testing, training and implementation of Integr8.
Responsibilities will include:
Providing operational finance cover across Finance Systems, Financial Accounting and Budgeting.
Maintaining key financial processes and controls during the Integr8 implementation programme.
Supporting Account NI and related finance systems.
Assisting with budget and forecast reporting.
Undertaking financial analysis and reporting.
Maintaining finance-system records and supporting documentation.
Supporting data validation, reconciliation and migration activities.
Assisting with User Acceptance Testing and system implementation activity where required.
Supporting implementation and go-live readiness.
Contributing to procedures, guidance and training materials.
Supporting responses to Assembly Questions and Freedom of Information requests.
Assisting with Open Data requirements and wider finance governance activity.
Supporting procurement monitoring, compliance and contract reporting.
Applicants should hold a recognised CCAB accounting qualification, such as:
ACA
ACCA
CIPFA
CIMA
Or another recognised equivalent professional accounting qualification
Candidates holding a recognised Accounting Technician qualification (ATI) may also be considered.
ATI-qualified candidates would be appointed at the lower EO1-equivalent rate of £17.43 per hour.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate:
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience working within a busy finance environment.
Strong general financial accounting and reporting experience.
Experience using financial systems.
It would be advantageous to have:
Experience supporting a finance or ERP systems implementation.
Oracle or similar finance-systems experience.
Data analysis experience.
Financial reconciliation experience.
Data validation or migration experience.
User Acceptance Testing experience.
The current working arrangement is:
Tuesday and Thursday – Castle Buildings, Belfast
Monday, Wednesday and Friday – working from home
Flexitime applies, with core hours between 10.00am and 3.30pm, subject to business requirements.
The assignment is expected to run until 30 September 2027 and is subject to the relevant pre-employment checks and Basic security clearance.
